Job Description


DUTY 1: PROPOSAL / QUOTATION MANAGEMENT
Mailbox Management

  • Monitors common mailboxes and transaction systems for incoming requests and logs requests using designated systems and/or tools.
  • Creates and updates quote and order-related transactions and tasks in business system.
  • Saves, uploads, and archives communication records in designated systems and/or tools

Product Proposal Creation
  • Creates, reviews, and revises product, documentation, and services proposal for projects Tier 3 and above.
  • Checks and extracts customer-specific information from business systems
  • Obtains and applies non-standard product, document, and service pricing through coordination with supplier, factory, and/or other support groups.
  • Collates standard product, document, and service pricing from system, price book, and/or support groups.
  • Provides standard product lead time based on system data.
  • Obtains and provides lead time for non-standard product through coordination with supplier, factory, and/or other support group.
  • Verifies and applies customer commercial terms based on project agreements.

Part Number / Model Number
  • Studies and analyses general project requirements detailed in documents separate from instrument specification sheets and provides suitable product, document, and service offerings.
  • Provides alternative solutions for discrepancies between customer-provided model code and specified requirements.

Product and Application Information Support
  • Recommends standard product and/or provides alternatives for industry standard compliant engineering specifications.
  • Provides detailed explanation of specific product specifications, features, and applications to customers based on their specific needs and requirements and/or as part of the proposal process.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation
  • Identifies continuous improvement project ideas.
  • Assists in the preparation and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans as necessary.

DUTY 2: ORDER MANAGEMENT
  • Reviews final project requirements and individual instrument specifications as included in the purchase order against all technical documents in last submitted bid package, and revises documents in the bid package as necessary.
  • Reviews final project pricing agreement as stated in the purchase order against price indicated in all technical documents in last submitted bid package, and revises documents in the bid package as necessary.
  • Extracts and/or uploads documents from/to customer website as part of project agreement.

DUTY 3: TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Conducts comprehensive functional trainings.
  • Conducts product overview trainings and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation and Control, Chemical, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Job Related Experience: At least 3 years of experience related to engineering support or function
  • Specific Knowledge:
    • Knowledge on Instrumentation and Control
    • Knowledge of Industry Standards (ASME, NACE, etc.)
    • Knowledge of measurement products and technologies
    • Knowledge of non-standard measurement products
    • Knowledge of customer requirements and applications
  • Skills
    • Communication skills (English-language proficiency in both oral and written form)
    • Basic engineering calculation skills
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills
