KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology analysis and evaluation; functional and technical assurance
Analyze renewable technologies based on sound scientific principles (includes renewables, hydrogen, energy storage, CCSU, and zero-carbon energy generation)
1) Contextualize technology analyzed into the Sembcorp ecosystem
2) Comparison and benchmarking with current and technologies under development
3) Conduct technology and market landscape analysis scanning for companies and institutions involved in various technology areas (for foresight analysis)
4) Support business strategies and new capability development
Liaise with external and internal parties
1) Interface between startups / technology providers and Sembcorp Markets, and to support on technical evaluations
2) Provide regular reports and updates to various parties
3) Management of venture capital fund administrative matters, database and taskforce
Technical Projects Review
1) Support on technical and functional assurance for renewable projects development and investment
2) Evaluate renewable projects including localized requirements, operational considerations, and system integration
KEY SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & BEHAVIOURS
1) Degree in Engineering is preferred, where Masters and PhD degree is a plus
2) Strong understanding of basic scientific principles
3) Understanding of the industry landscape that Sembcorp operates in is desired
Experience in renewables or power sector is a plus
4) Good written and spoken English (written and spoken Mandarin is a plus)
5) Comfortable to handle large amounts of data
6) Ability to work with minimal supervision
7) Good communication skills, technical writing, and presentation skills
8) Good team player and ability to work effectively with third party collaborators
