Role Responsibilities

  • The Channel Services, Switching & Debit Cards Technology team requires a strategic minded Business Manager to support the planning and implementation of strategic objectives and planning team across a portfolio of projects.
  • The preferred candidate would be an experienced Business Manager, Planning Manager or Program Manager with a track record of 8+ years in managing and implementing strategy within a technology organisation for a set of demanding stakeholders.
Strategy
  • Understanding and advocate for the TTO strategy and objectives.
  • Understanding of TTO and bank policies and ability to team drive compliance.
Business
  • Cost management and governance across project portfolios, application operating costs and cost centre costs.
  • Tracking and reporting of project cost, revenue and project milestones and work closely with the project teams and technology management to control any variances, challenge and escalate cost issues early and with conviction.
  • Support and manage the submission of project and program artefacts to centralized governance processes and reviews.
  • Vendor management support (Invoices, POs, SOW, etc.)
  • Produce monthly management reports by consolidating project achievements and concerns.
  • Own relevant Technology communication paths such as newsletters and intranet sites.
  • Propose and develop productivity and quality KPI metrics to drive Agile enablement and quality improvement.
  • Periodically track and report the productivity and quality of application development teams.
  • Plan, manage and implement Management meetings, off sites, Town halls and other departmental events.
Processes

  • Technology compliance metric presentation, communication and tracking.
People & Talent
  • Track and report staff attrition and highlight any issues and concerns to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Workforce and talent management.
  • Manage location headcount targets and challenges and maintain clear useful headcount reporting and analysis as well as floorplan and space management.

  • Own and contribute to people agenda workstreams including driving diversity and Inclusion, Managing a mentoring program across FM T&I and other key engagement activities.
Risk Management
  • Risk and audit management
Governance
  • Analyse data trends, highlight issues and work with relevant parties to resolve issues.
  • Technology compliance metric presentation, communication and tracking.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\'s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Channel Services, Switching & Debit Cards Technology team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\'s Conduct Principles. Fair Outcomes for Clients, Effective Financial Markets, Financial Crime Compliance, The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • CPBB CIO Office, CBPP business and Technology department heads within our domain
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group\'s brand and values in Channel Services, Switching & Debit Cards team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures, Multiple functions (double hats).
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced Business Manager, Planning Manager or Program Manager with a track record of 8+ years in managing and implementing strategy within a technology organisation for a set of demanding stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in a demanding technology environment.
  • Strong analytics and presentation skills, including the presentation of data in well-crafted documents and packs.
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Organised, nuanced, tenacious and tactful.
  • Confident, proactive and responsible.
