Job Description

Epworth Community Services is a Social Service Agency (SSA) that helps at-risk children and youths from needy and disadvantaged families. We want to create a better world for them so that they can develop their potential. Our work focuses on promoting the mental well-being of children and youths by building strong families and imparting skills for resilient living.



Epworth Study Buddies is a complimentary tuition-befriending programme for primary school children who struggle with their schoolwork. Beyond academic support, our volunteer befrienders build meaningful relationships with children through interactive activities, encouragement, and guidance to help them reach their learning goals.



We are looking for a Temporary Programme Coordinator who is passionate about working with children and volunteers and who enjoys coordinating people, schedules, and programmes.


Key Responsibilities:




1. Study Buddies Programme Oversight:


Coordinate weekly Study Buddies sessions, including scheduling, logistics, and attendance tracking. Ensure smooth programme delivery on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Act as the main liaison for volunteers, providing support for scheduling, queries, and onboarding. Coordinate with students and parents to ensure consistent attendance and communication. Maintain basic programme data (e.g. attendance, tutor allocation, session records) for reporting and internal review. Support adherence to safeguarding protocols and programme guidelines.

2. Administrative and Coordination Support:


Maintain organised records and documentation related to the programme. Assist in preparing basic reports and updates for internal stakeholders. Provide general coordination and administrative tasks related to programme operations.

3. Other Duties:


Support team's events, outreach and fundraising activities as required. Carry out other duties as assigned to support the team's overall objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications




Diploma or equivalent qualification. 1-2 years of experience in programme coordination, education support, volunteer management, or related administrative roles is preferred. Students with relevant part-time working experience are welcome to apply. Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Comfortable coordinating tutors/volunteers and liaising with students and parents. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with clear written and verbal communication abilities. Responsible and able to follow safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.

Additional Information:




Location: Bukit Batok (approximately 10 minutes' walk away from Bukit Batok MRT) Working Hours: 16 hours per week (Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings are mandatory; remaining hours are flexible and can be discussed.) * This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension up to 1 year based on performance and organisational needs.
