Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct tests and commissioning activities for communication systems, specifically related to video surveillance systems, to ensure compliance and functionality. Prepare and update method statements, testing procedures, and related documentation and configurations. Lead or participate in on-site activities, including system installation, configuration, and pre-test activities. Collaborate with customers to perform on-site tests and commissioning activities, ensuring proper documentation and witnessing of tests. Identify and resolve defects and issues that arise during the commissioning process, including troubleshooting and creating tools for incident resolution. Report any non-conformities found during the commissioning phase to the engineering/design teams, with detailed defect descriptions and associated test contexts. Follow up on detected issues and deliver comprehensive commissioning reports. Ensure test tools are calibrated and in proper working order.

Requirements:

Diploma or ITE in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and make corrections when necessary. Previous experience in testing and commissioning large infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Linux operating systems and understanding network concepts. Experience in developing tools using scripting languages like Python. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies in complex operational control systems. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude.
