JR29127 Test Engineering Manager We are looking for a high energy, result driven individual with strong work ethics and team spirit to join us as Test Engineering Section Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership, directional and overall management of your Test Engineering section. You will collaborate with other functional groups locally and/or globally to accomplish organizational and business objectives which include a continuous effort towards reducing test operations cycle time and cost; executing production priorities and strategies; sustaining and improving the key performance indices of the test engineering team through continuous improvement activities/projects. Responsibilities and Tasks Ensure the production equipment is in control and quality/reliability of product meets expectation Evaluate production data (capacity, critical assumptions, tool utilization, consumable usage, headcount requirements) Gather guidance from area planner, Engineering, and workstation owner Use area metrics to find opportunities to improve productivity Develop a plan to cover capacity requirements Communicate and delegating and/or implementing the plan in partnership with appropriate partners Follow up to ensure the plan was implemented Sustain and improve the key performance indices of the test process/equipment through continuous improvement activities / projects Establish team(s) to work on Continuous Improvement projects Implement Productivity Improvement programs Reduce cost of testing through continuous cost reduction effort Identify the key cost drivers and work on cost reduction programs Lead Shift Team Members (Direct and Eventual Reports) Ensure training and cross-training goals are met on shift Mentor participants in production development programs Establish and communicate performance expectations for direct reports Monitor performance of direct reports and provides ongoing performance feedback, mentoring, and career guidance About Micron Technology, Inc.
