We're looking for a highly capable SAP Tester to validate SAP solutions--implementations, enhancements, integrations, and migrations. You will help ensure the SAP system meets business requirements, performs reliably, and serves end-users properly. This involves testing across functional, integration, regression, user-acceptance phases, and collaborating closely with SAP functional/technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Review business requirements, specification documents, process flows, and SAP configuration to understand what to test.
Design and write detailed test cases, test scenarios, test scripts for SAP modules (e.g. MM, SD, FICO, MM, HCM etc.).
Execute manual tests: functional, system integration, regression, smoke, end-to-end testing.
Verify business process flows: P2P, O2C, R2R, etc. Ensure core & cross-module integrations work (e.g. SD-MM, FI-CO).
Work with test data: preparing test data sets (master data / transactional), data migrations / conversions if needed.
Identify, log, track, verify defects; work with functional / technical teams to ensure they are fixed. Provide steps to reproduce, screenshots/logs, expected vs actual.
Perform retesting of fixes & regression testing to ensure no new impacts.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT): support business users, guide & validate results.
Maintain test artefacts: test plan, test case repository, traceability, test reports & metrics.
Reporting: test coverage, defect status, risks, test execution status to project stakeholders.
(Optional / Senior) Assist in test strategy & planning: estimating testing effort, defining scope, selecting tools (manual vs automation).
(Optional / Senior) Collaborate with automation teams: provide functional input, help in automating regression or smoke test suites.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable field -- or equivalent experience.
Typically
3-6 years
of experience in SAP testing or QA roles (can adjust based on seniority).
Hands-on experience with SAP modules: e.g. MM, SD, FICO, HCM, or others depending on your environment.
Experience with SAP implementations / upgrades / enhancements (experience in S/4HANA projects is a strong plus).
Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, UAT).
Familiarity with defect tracking / test management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM, Quality Center, others).
Good analytical skills; ability to understand business processes and map them to SAP configuration and functionality.
Strong communication skills--verbal and written--to interact with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams.
Attention to detail; ability to think of edge cases & negative scenarios.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with test automation tools relevant to SAP (e.g. Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft, SAP eCATT, or comparable tools).
Experience with data migration / cutover activities: data cleansing, conversion, validation.
Exposure to integrations: IDocs, RFCs, APIs, interfaces to non-SAP systems.
Familiarity with SAP best practices & design, especially in an S/4HANA context.
Understanding of local statutory/regulatory requirements (Singapore) if the modules include Finance (for example GST, tax, statutory reporting).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment.
