: JOB PURPOSE:

This job holder would be responsible to support and maintain, track key product testing standards/protocols, test labs communications, and disposition of all WSGO\'s furniture and upholstery tests in Asia. This technical position requires a person who can learn and adapt quickly. We seek someone passionate about home furnishing/furniture, with an engineering or testing background to start with. With proper training and involvement, this person would eventually be able to take the lead in certain categories of product testing and its dispositions independently. The incumbent should possess good communication skills to act as the liaison with third-party labs and merchandising teams.

The person should be enthusiastic and keen to quickly learn. It would be preferable to have a test background but not a must. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the effective and efficient set up protocols according to international standards of all furniture and upholstery product types.
• Take immediate corrective action in case of failures; by either waiving any inappropriate tests and/or detailing the failure and required corrective actions in consultation with his/her leader.
• Develop a strong technical knowledge-base and business rapport across all Brands, WSGO regional furniture engineers and testing engineers.
• Handle training materials and be able to present/train regional teams on current or new testing process implemented by WSGO Singapore.
• Become part of a world class Singapore testing and quality assurance team:
• Proactively search out new testing and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and document their disposition performance as required.
• Ensure all test results/comments are implemented in a timely and effective manner.
• Learn the strengths and weaknesses of each WSGO region/and third-party furniture testing lab.
• Provide testing statistical information as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 Years and above experience with Product testing at the third-party laboratory or similar capacity.
• Good knowledge in Mechanical Engineering principles and understanding of Materials science.
• Strong in MS Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Knowledge in 2D & 3D CAD software (Preferably Solidworks).
• Effective communication and report writing skills in English (Chinese is helpful but not required).
• Ability to understand and document key standards and its metrics.
• Good customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to lead and drive projects to successful completion.
• Possess effective interpersonal skills, a team player with excellent in assuming responsibility.
