Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Testing Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material specimens for testing and gather and record test data
• Perform tests as directed by customer specifications and operate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager and construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment
• Perform varies of construction testing onsite such as concrete, soil and timber, conduct temperature monitoring and pullout test for tiles and structural fixings
• Have an idea/conduct lab soil,concrete and aggregate testing. (Preferable)
• Physically fit and able to work in construction sites, work at height, tunnel, & possible under direct sunlight and prepare and compile reports/worksheets.

Skills / Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• Minimum Nitec in Engineering or at least with 0-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a testing related field
• Basic understanding of testing concepts
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus and able to meet with lifting requirements
