We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Third Party Engagement Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the role is to manage the relationships of vendors that sit within WPB Operations throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Communicating with the vendors and performing quality checks, dealing with pricing and improvements
  • The role holder is responsible for providing effective vendor risk and supplier management to ensure that HSBC meets its operational, business and/or regulatory requirements in order to mitigate any regulatory breaches, civil or monetary penalties and to avoid any damage to shareholder value and reputation/brand image
  • The role holder is also responsible for driving \xe2\x80\x98best in class\xe2\x80\x99 performance through effective management of vendor Service Level Agreements and industry practices, whilst seeking out opportunities to enhance the business relationship and performance through exploring opportunities to enhance the relationship
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience of relevant experience with a Degree
  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles including financials
  • A good understanding of the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Operational Risk Framework
  • Critical thinking, time management and proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
  • Highly developed communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a team environment
  • Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
  • Demonstrable experience of managing operational risk within appetite during operational change and re-organisation
  • A sound knowledge of the Group including products & services
  • Significant experience of implementing control frameworks
