A precision tooling designer creates tools, dies, moulds, and fixtures for manufacturing, collaborating with production engineers and cross functional teams internally and externally to design and develop innovative and efficient tooling solutions.
Key responsibilities include drafting detailed specifications and tolerances, conducting cost analyses and feasibility studies, overseeing the fabrication and assembly & testing of prototypes.
Ensuring all designs meet project requirements, quality, and safety standards. Tool designers also stay updated on industry trends and provide technical support throughout the production process not limited to debug, test, assembly & measurement jig design; commission the company's product, jigs and fixtures, customized semi and fully automatic machines or assemblies.
Solid Experience in Tool Design & Development
Technical Design and Prototyping & Testing for Costs Feasibility Analysis
Leadership in the layout drawing, drafting details with tolerance study
ASME drafting standards, geometric dimensioning and PDM/ PLM system
