Tooling Design Engineer / Conventional Machine / Mold Component / EDM / Wirecut / Serangoon * Working Day: 5 days (Mon - Fri) * Working Hour: 8am- 5.30pm * Salary: $2500 -$3300 (depends on ex Tooling Design Engineer / Conventional Machine / Mold Component / EDM / Wirecut / Serangoon Working Day: 5 days (Mon - Fri) Working Hour: 8am- 5.30pm Salary: $2500 -$3300 (depends on experience) Location: Serangoon North Ave 5 Responsibilities: Coordinate and prioritise the projects and workload of the department. Ensure projects are fabricated correctly and according to time schedules. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet department deadlines. Provide guidance and direction to employees in solving and/or answering toolmaking questions, problems and issues. Diagnose machine, tooling and equipment malfunctions, expedite and coordinate repairs or replacement to avoid excessive downtime. Coordinate inspection and quality control activities as they may be related to work in process. Prepare and maintain necessary records and reports such as time sheets, mold repair forms, Spare item list, Steel dimension report, stock take of existing items. Maintain constant contact with outside vendors to obtain quotes, ensure delivery dates are met and verify quality workmanship. To advise on any new tool room equipment required and report any non-functioning equipment to the Toolroom Manager or Supervisor Assist in giving ideas on how to improve the efficiency and standard of the toolroom and continual improvement of new tooling build procedures. Promote good teamwork within the tool room and other liking departments Be involved in any training or development of staff if required and competent to do so Work to all necessary Health and Safety requirements and report any concerns to the Tooling Manager or Supervisor Delivery and collection of molds, mold components or items as required Qualification: Experience in precision engineering/mechanical engineering is necessary Basic understanding of mold fabrication is required Basic skillset in handling conventional machining, EDM or Wirecut is preferred
