Job Purpose and Impact

The Strategic Trade Execution Executive will coordinate and execute moderately complex trade execution activities. In this role, you will ensure coordination of all required processes for movement of iron ore or steel and maintain consistent communication with internal and external customers to ensure accurate and timely statuses of operations. You will execute all the activities related to issuing import and export licenses and completing transactions associated with the import and export in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Execute end to end import and export transportation processes in compliance with defined contractual terms to minimize risks of the execution.
  • Manage sales contracts to ensure their clauses are fully understood and executable, to guarantee legal and fiscal requirement compliance.
  • Execute contracts for different trade flows, supporting the strategy of the different product lines existing within the business group strategy.
  • Ensure the review of operational metrics, maintain accurate controls and deliver according the expectations of trade execution processes.
  • Maintain and foster established relationships with customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners, such as supervisory companies, insurance companies, laboratories, agents, warehouses, trucking companies, buyers and sellers.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Experience analyzing legal contracts
  • Deep knowledge of Incoterms.
  • Experience managing and planning import and export processes, customs documentation, shipping, and receiving of foreign merchandise in a global matrixed company.
  • Strong ability to contribute to a better structuring of customer deals by getting actively involved in pre-trade discussions as Team of Teams member
  • Experience coordinating with Legal and ToT to ensure all key structuring & trade execution elements are well articulated in the contract and clearly understood by customer
  • Strong ability to assess trade execution related risk embedded with solution provided for new strategic deal and add value to the ToT by bringing in subject matter expertise and propose/execute on solutions (e.g. TE, Onshore trading, profit sharing structure)
  • Strong negotiation skills with strategic customer directly for contract/operational stuffs and make commercial call within the pre-agreed parameters
  • Experience in playing a lead role in the post deal execution, (i.e. executing the ongoing trades) and calling out any issues with the ToT or Customer Leads when they arise
  • Experience in engaging with strategic customer & ToT to identify areas for improvement and ensure learnings/best practice are captured and disseminated
