Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire process of international trade transactions, ensuring adherence to trade agreements, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary trade documentation, such as invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and letters of credit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate logistics and shipping operations by collaborating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to guarantee timely and cost-efficient transportation.
  • Assess and mitigate risks related to trade operations, including currency fluctuations, geopolitical factors, and transportation challenges.
  • Manage letters of credit and ensure the timely settlement of trade transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other key stakeholders involved in trade operations.
  • Stay informed on international trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements, ensuring all trade activities meet legal and regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate and manage Incoterms for each transaction, clearly outlining responsibilities and delivery terms between buyers and sellers.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure traded goods meet customer expectations and specified standards.
  • Foster effective communication between internal teams and external partners to streamline the trade process.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies during the trade process, including disputes, delays, or quality concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Additional certifications in international trade or logistics are advantageous.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in trade operations, international logistics, or a related field. Familiarity with trade finance instruments is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of international trade regulations, documentation processes, and logistics workflows.
  • Proficiency in trade finance instruments and risk management techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, especially when handling trade documentation and ensuring compliance.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, work effectively in a team-oriented environment, adapt to changing market and regulatory conditions, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant technologies.
