This role supports the Freight Management Team to support in shipping documentation and manage the daily planning and execution of shipments.What You Will Do: \xe2\x80\x8bEnsure consistent, timely and cost-efficient parts delivery to and from Asia Distribution Center (ADC)Support execution of ADC\'s outbound / inbound transportation services, in a way that meets ADC internal/external customers\' expectation in terms velocity and cost while maximizing profit for CaterpillarEnsure invoices are sorted in good order for shipping documents preparationPrepare and manage shipping pre-alerts (ANS, BL, CoO,), dealer shipment reports, freight billing for export shipments to dealers / DCs before shipment arrival at destination to enable prompt clearance of shipmentUpdate monthly shipment report, manage and update CRM freight bill reportingCRM Freight Billing grief management through close liaison with CRM support teamIssue credit/debit note on freight billing discrepancyClose coordination with vendors, internal and external customers in ensuring smooth execution of shipmentsClose liaison with service providers/NVOCC on BL and tax invoice accuracy; troubleshoot and resolve rates discrepancy with service providers/NVOCC when the need arisesProvide support on additional tasks required for special / emergency outbound shipmentsSupport shipment booking and liaise with Operations/transporter on empty container movement when requiredTroubleshoot and resolve billing grief (if any) through close liaison with various support teamsManage shipping documents archivingWhat You Have:Experience in supply chain / freight forwarding / shipping or transportation operationsFamiliar with shipping Incoterms and good knowledge of export customs procedures (Example, types of customs permits, HS codes, Chamber CoO application)Possess knowledge in dangerous goods management and transportation (IMDG / IATA)IT savvy and proficiency in using MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint), SAPPossess good analytic skillsWilling-to-learn attitude; and a self-starter who takes initiative to proactively seeks clarity when in doubt and resolve issues independentlyProactive in taking on additional new tasks when assigned and capable of achieving resultStrong adaptability in working with uncertainties and capability in embracing change positivelyStrong capability to plan, prioritize and multi-task to meet tight datelines and monthly KPI metricsCapable to work independently and as a team player with minimum supervisionAdditional Info: \xe2\x80\x8bCaterpillar is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status; however, as a global company, Caterpillar offers many job opportunities outside of Singapore which can be found through our employment website at .What You Will Get:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
