Job Purpose

Division, Department: BPLRT Operations

  • Responsible for the compliance of train deployment.
  • Responsible for smooth train operation.
  • Responsible for effective recovery of train service delay.
  • To co-ordinate train related activities.
  • To operate ATC, MRS and ORS consoles, MMI switch and pushbutton panel, manual control and auxiliary control panels.
  • Responsible for logging of OCC occurrence log.
  • Attend to passenger\'s queries through station intercom
  • Monitor AFC/CCTV and make PA.
  • Responsible for the backup of subsystems in OCC/CER.
  • To perform administrative functions.
Responsibilities

Controls:
  • To constantly monitor and ensure smooth operation of trains.
  • To co-ordinate with Recovery staff through MRS for any train related issue.
  • To monitor and ensure that PDS is in healthy state.
  • To ensure the correct master schedule is operating at all time.
  • To operate MMI, manual control and auxiliary control panels when required.
  • To co-ordinate and manipulate train in manual operation.
  • To remotely participate and co-ordinate in train activities. E.g. train storage, train dispatch, register/de-register train, car wash, couple/uncouple train, sweep train, etc.
  • To attend to alarm on panels and consoles.
  • To report train faults in the RIMS and inform maintenance staff
  • To log all OCC events and incidents in RIMS and in OCC occurrence log.
  • To perform any other duties that are assigned from time to time by superior.
Comms:
  • To report station faults in the RIMS and inform maintenance staff.
  • To perform backup for subsystems in OCC/CER.
  • To ensure the subsystems in OCC/CER are operational.
  • To generate and compile report, and assist in report analysis.
  • To housekeep the OCC/CER. It includes the maintenance/housekeeping of all files, record/log books, notice boards, notices, etc.
  • To perform any other duties that are assigned from time to time by superior.
Qualifications & Work Experience
  • Diploma with any Engineering background
  • Effective in handling stress and analyze systematically
  • Make sound and safe decision
  • Able to work on 3 rotating shift
