What the role is:
The GRaduate Industry Traineeship Programme within the Public Service (GRIT@Gov) aims to provide fresh graduates with opportunities to gain industry-relevant skills and experience that can strengthen their employability to take up full time roles in the sector. This traineeship offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in digital communications, content management, and employee engagement within the healthcare sector. You will work on developing and implementing digital platforms that support MOH's Organisational Development initiatives, focusing on building internal culture and improving ways of working. Through this role, you will gain valuable experience in web development, content creation, stakeholder engagement, and corporate communications whilst contributing to meaningful projects that enhance employee experience and organisational alignment.
What you will be working on:
You will be responsible for developing employee engagement and communications platforms to drive MOH's Organisational Development initiatives. Your key responsibilities include: Division Intranet Page Development o Design and build a user-friendly homepage on the intranet (OCP) that clearly communicates key functions, services, and value proposition o Create intuitive navigation structures and user-friendly layouts to enhance employee experience o Ensure content accessibility and maintain up-to-date information o Support internal communications efforts, including newsletters, announcements, and updates for the intranet homepage o Produce resources such as introductory materials, process documentation, and FAQs for internal staff understanding Communications and Engagement Support o Collaborate with team members to gather content and stories from across the division o Implement user testing and feedback mechanisms to improve platform effectiveness o Support preparation and delivery of internal staff engagement sessions
What we are looking for:
Required Qualifications: o University degree in visual/arts communications, communications and/or human resources o Proficiency in learning and editing digital content management systems and basic HTML website design o Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar) o Understanding of crafting corporate communications materials in a clear and engaging format Key Competencies Require o Communication Skills - Strong written and verbal communication abilities to create engaging content and facilitate stakeholder interactions o Digital Literacy - Comfort with technology and eagerness to develop technical skills in web development and digital content creation o Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements - Strong analytical abilities to assess user needs and create effective digital solutions; ability to learn and prepare materials with an understanding of organisational context and employee engagement requirements o Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn new digital tools, content management systems, and communication techniques; ability to learn and introduce new technologies and platforms o Improving & Innovating - Ability to learn from others and identify improvements in digital platforms and communication strategies; willingness to experiment with new approaches to employee engagement while managing associated risks o Working Effectively with Stakeholders - Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across the division to gather content and feedback; skills in facilitating user testing sessions and engaging with internal staff to understand their needs and preferences
