This role is under the APAC Digital & Platform Services Change team within CIB Operations. The Digital & Platform Services Change team was established to drive strategic platform and digital transformation across APAC Operations. The Strategy & Analytics team lead will be responsible for defining our overall APAC transformation strategy by using data to gain insights and drive decisions.

The Strategy & Analytics Pillar is newly formed under this team and we are looking for a lead to form strategic vision and execution. This pillar will be the core and heart of our team as we look to realign the way we build long term strategy for the overall APAC Branch Operations teams that we service. The portfolio the team support facilitates new business, integrates efficiency and scale across operations, drives client initiatives and ensures regulatory and industry compliance across the regions in which we operate.

In an effort to support the business growth across APAC, standardizing and simplifying what Operations do is the goal. The Strategy & Analytics pillar will be responsible for taking a data-driven approach, using analytics, metrics, machine learning outputs and more to identify problem areas and opportunities. Building a sustainable operating model of how we use data to make decisions will also be a key objective.

Building senior stakeholder relationships across the region and globally, advocating mandates for APAC, influencing outcomes and eliciting sponsorship across our programs will be essential to ensuring success.

The uniqueness about this role is that it is not just any project management role, but is setting the strategy and vision for the organization to determine what strategic platform enhancements or digital solutions we invest in. They must be passionate problem solvers with a solid knowledge about Market products trade life cycle / operations processes, able to challenge the status quo and understand platform and digital technology. Having an innovative mindset, bringing new and creative ideas to the table will also be at the heart of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Use data in meaningful ways to craft a story and drive decisions
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships in Operations and Technology across multiple regions to drive digital solutions
  • Utilize a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support and secure buy-in for desired objectives
  • Create concise, compelling business cases, execute project planning and manage delivery from scripting and user development of requirements in accordance with risk and control guidelines
  • Understand business processes in detail where required and challenge actively status quo
  • Manage prioritization of project pipelines, mobilization of firm resources and risk mitigation on project deliverables
  • Evaluate evolving products or latest cognitive technologies to reinforce product offering
  • Active stakeholder management and communications for a wide variety of audiences internally and externally (clients and vendors) from project status reporting to escalation of risk and issues

Qualifications and Skillsets:
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience managing a projects/program team in a change environment with the following requirements:
    • At least 3 years of independent project delivery in financial services industry and
    • Prior experience with Markets Operations (Markets, FX, Fixed Income etc.) exposure
  • Self-starter and passionate to learn new digital solutions and trends in industry
  • Knowledge of either one of VBA, Python, Javascript/CSS/HTML, digital tools (Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, UiPath, PEGA) a plus
  • True innovator from within; Creative and able to think outside the box
  • Demonstrate ability to structure complex problems, independently source for solutions
  • Proven track record of change management and project execution, analytical focus on KPI's
  • Ability to effectively communicate, manage and influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
  • Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing and presentation skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects under tight timelines and demonstrate calmness under intense pressure
  • Adept at using all Microsoft Office products. Sharepoint experience (building and maintain Sharepoint sites) is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
