Job Description
What you'll be doing
Oversee the daily operations of the transportation fleet, including scheduling, routing and monitoring of deliveries and also deployment of vehicles Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training and performance feedback Analyse transportation data and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and safety standards Collaborate with other departments to address any issues Monitor and report on key performance metrics to the management team Participate in the development and implementation of transportation strategies and policies
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet operations Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and strategic planning skills Proficient in data analysis and reporting to support operational improvements Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to effectively manage a team Familiarity with relevant transport regulations and safety standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
