The Travel Consultant is responsible for providing professional travel advice, planning, and booking services for clients. This role ensures that all travel arrangements are accurate, cost-effective, and aligned with client needs. The consultant offers expertise in destinations, itineraries, visa and insurance requirements, and delivers excellent customer service throughout the travel experience.
Job Responsibilities
Able to plan the best and most suitable itinerary based on client's preferences, budget, and requirements.
Serve as the contact point for prospects and customers
Provide accurate information on destinations, visa requirements, health and safety guidelines, travel insurance, and currency exchange.
Prepare detailed itineraries and travel documents for clients.
Ensure consistent delivery of high level of service, seamless travel arrangements and positive customer experience
Ensure all bookings comply with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements
Handle changes, cancellations, and emergency travel arrangements in a timely manner.
Stay updated on industry trends, new destinations, airline regulations, and promotional offers.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
Able to perform after office hour duty
Requirement
Diploma in Tourism / Travel / Leisure studies or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of corporate ticketing experience
Strong knowledge of travel industry practices, reservation systems (Amadeus) and booking platforms
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Sales and service-oriented mindset
An existing network of clients would be an added advantage
Able to work independently, pleasant, patience and able to work under pressure
Must be an excellent team player
