KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify and define business opportunities for brand & category growth by synthesizing data from shopper, category, retailer and competitive analysis.
  • Take ownership of the market insights data infrastructure. Ensure external data sources are providing reliable and accurate data to address business needs.
  • Design processes and implement tools that can collect and analyse relevant primary and secondary data.
  • Coordinate with external data providers in the preparation and consolidation of industry panel data.
  • Constantly review processes, automation, and the generation of data reports & dashboards, to ensure that we deliver simplicity, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the management of our market modelling & category forecasting workstream, to facilitate conversations with regional GM\xe2\x80\x99s on anticipating future market performance during the business planning cycle.
  • Manage the measurement & evaluation of our core brand animations, ensuring we are having the biggest impact with shoppers.
  • Provide the Shiseido Travel Retail (STR) leadership with clear & actionable insights through engaging factual summaries of market performance & categories trends.
  • Engage & inspire internal stakeholders with the latest Market Intelligence analysis through presentations, newsletters & workshops.
  • Direct line management of Market Intelligence Executive
  • Oversee Market Intelligence suppliers & their corresponding budgets.

Job Requirements:
  • Min 8 years of experience in Market Intelligence, Insights & Analytics Function, Consultancy, Research firm or similar within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry.
  • Well-versed in the fundamentals of syndicated data and quantitative consumer research (choosing methodologies, designing projects, interpreting observations and data, reporting with clarity and flair).
  • Experienced with managing research agency / data provider is essential, eg Nielsen data management or equivalent expertise
  • Tell clear & engaging stories with actionable implications (in writing, conversations, and presentations)
  • Confident in influencing and inspiring diverse groups of people to listen to and act on what\xe2\x80\x99s right \xe2\x80\x93 goes beyond delivering the insight to drive the outcome for the business.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
