:DepartmentThe Treasury Analyst role sits within the Treasury department. The treasury team is responsible for all aspects of treasury risk management including; liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange, interest rate risk management, collateral management and margining.The treasury department is a team-based environment that values interaction and exchange of ideas and techniques and is a huge advocate of continuous improvement. The flat team structure supports access to all levels of management across the organisation in order to ensure that analysis and judgements are comprehensive and complete.Key Role Responsibilities

  • Treasury Systems and Technology: Collaborate with IT, MO and Finance teams to enhance treasury systems, streamline trade operations, and automate manual processes. Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement technology solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy in trade and treasury operations.
  • Reporting: Ensure timely daily and monthly reporting on cash positions and movements. Enhance tracking and forecast of bank facilities monitoring and capture markets risk exposures.
  • Funding and Cash Management: Support in the analysis of working capital usage and forecast of future cash flows. Deck preparation for loan syndication and other ad-hoc financing projects.
  • Position Optimisation: Conduct analysis of the company\'s positions on exchanges and OTC markets, considering factors such as margin requirements. Identify and recommend areas to FO where positions can be optimized to reduce margin requirements via movement of positions or using instruments like EFS, liquidity swaps, etc.
  • Continuous Improvements: Conduct analysis on treasury operations, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to management and provide recommendations for enhancing treasury performance.
Qualifications:Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Candidates without experience are welcomed to apply
  • Prior experience in the commodities sector would be advantageous
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate risk assessments and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in financial software,data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel. Powerpoint, Power BI, Alteryx, Bloomberg, knowledge in Python programming will be a plus)

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of delivering on targets and driving initiatives to successful completion. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Highly organised with an appetite for understanding the interdependencies of specific events to ensure risks are mitigated promptly.
  • Proactive and highly organised, willing to suggest improvements to existing processes with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good team player who is comfortable with working in a multicultural environment. Excellent interpersonal and organisation skills are essential, as well as an ability to break down complex processes and articulate them in a manner suitable to the audience.
