Job Description

Role Purpose This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Treasury back-office functions for Swire Shipping Pte Ltd based in Singapore. This includes trade confirmation, reconciliation of front office and back office data on trades, bank reconciliation, treasury accounting and vendor onboarding. This position is also expected to assist in improving Treasury processes and participate in many special projects throughout the company, representing Treasury department concerns.

Role Accountabilities

Treasury Accounting

• Account for the daily and monthly treasury inputs ensuring treasury transactions are correctly recorded in accordance with accounting standards.

• Monitor and update mark-to-market position of Company’s derivatives.

• Ensure all forex realised gain/loss are correctly recorded.

• Reconcile and prepare Intercompany settlement.

• Prepare monthly audit schedules and reports in accordance to accounting standards.
  

• Verify details and provide confirmations to the banks for forex trades undertaken by the front-office.

• Analyse and conduct reasonable checks on the Treasury P/L.

• Prepare FX performance analysis for management reports.
  

• Download bank statements from e-banking platforms and upload onto share drive for respective teams to allocate fund.

• Monitor host-to-host bank statement upload status in SAP.

• Maintain bank key and details file in SAP.

• Follow-up closely on unreconciled items in the bank clearing accounts.

• Liaise with bank personnel on bank transactions related queries.

• Prepare monthly reconciliation on bank and bank clearing.

• E-banking administration, not limiting to setting up and modifying users access, deletion of users.

• Distribute cash for Cash-to-Master and general corporate purposes.
  

• Validate bank details of vendor setup in SAP

• Monitor and backup for vendor bank verification and release in K2/SAP

• Conduct sanctions screening on vendor’s bank account upon setup and periodically
  

• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure that controls and procedures are adequate and functional.

• Assist in special projects

• Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the direct supervisor or Manager
  

• A diploma/degree in Accountancy with minimum 3 years relevant working experience from MNC or Financial Institution

• Preferably with shipping experience but not a must
  

• Must possess strong knowledge / know-how in Treasury accounting

• Must have experience in handling trade confirmations and banking issues

• Proficient in MS Excel and SAP
