Primary Objectives:

  • Assist and to provide support to the Treasury department in ensuring all staff within the department are trained in relation to applicable rules and procedures in their respective specialized area to ensure compliance to both Regulatory Compliance and Operational Risks matters.
  • Identifying, investigating, handling and resolving regulatory and operational non-compliances breaches.
  • Assist in closing out any audit issues raised by Internal Audit and put in place action plans to ensure no recurrence of such findings.
Key Responsibilities: Risk and Control Self-Assessment / KRI / KCT/ LDCs/BCM
  • Fully implement the Group’s Operational Risk Management tools and processes.
  • Establish an effective partnership with Country Operational Risk Management towards managing the department’s operational risks to be in line with the Group’s Business objectives.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Establish an effective partnership with the Country Compliance towards managing department’s regulatory compliance risks to be in line with RHB Singapore’s Business objectives.
  • Advisory to department on regulatory compliance risk mitigation measures within operations to ensure no non-compliance breaches or non-recurrence of compliance breaches.
Risk & Compliance Awareness Training
  • Develop & provide training on Operational Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance. awareness to department’s staff to promote an effective risk & compliance culture.
Audit Issues by Group Internal Audit/External Auditors
  • Main Department’s coordinator for all Regulatory/Audit inspections, to help with the coordinations and responses during the audit process.
  • Proactive in assisting the department in closing all audit issues and to formulate plan to ensure no recurrence of such issues.
Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Assurance
  • Perform assurance checks to ensure Department’s adherence to key risks/regulatory/compliance areas.
  • Analysis and implement operational process/controls in ensuring Department’s activities are within Risks/Regulatory/Compliance acceptance.


Qualifications
  • Possesses Bachelor degree, preferably in banking law.
  • Min 3 years of relevant work experience in Compliance or legal in a Financial Institution.
  • Good understanding and familiar with banking regulations and its application in Bank, in particular in Global Markets / Treasury.
  • Able to perform assurance and control processes.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a fast pace environment
