Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) is one of ENGIE\'s Business Units. We deliver services in supply and logistics management, asset management, risk management, market access management, while contributing to the market understanding, design and efficiency and developing market solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

Within the GEMS Business Unit, the APAC & LNG Business Platforms are managing and developing the group\'s trading activities for the APAC region as well as the LNG business worldwide.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE

Organization

As part of the Treasury team reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer APAC, you will collaborate to the fulfilment of the missions of the department and may be involved in projects spanning multiple teams across commercial functions and platforms.

Job Title: Treasury & Trade Finance Officer

Role

  • Responsible for the cash and liquidity management of GEMS entities in APAC region
  • Manage trade finance risk and working capital management for the Singapore entity.
  • Negotiate credit facilities and manage relationships with local/offshore banks
  • Coordinate with group treasury and corporate finance teams
  • Support our regional subsidiaries (Japan/India/Dubai) on treasury related tasks
  • Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating operational risk, while ensuring process efficiency and upholding our continuous improvement culture.
Main activities
  • Daily FX risk exposure management for business payments and operating expenses
  • Coordinating with LNG operations team on LC/BG headroom allocation and issuance
  • Liaise with Group corporate finance on local financing activities (prepare internal memo)
  • Ensure accurate daily cashflow forecasting to Group treasury team (global cashpool header)
  • Cover daily treasury operations (receivables, Swap and FX settlements, bank reconciliation, OTC and clearer margin call payments)
  • Collaborate with Back Office/Accounting/Tax teams to manage foreign currency funding
  • Produce monthly treasury P&L report with FX costs explained
  • Work with FP&A to monitor balance sheet and operating cashflow estimates
  • Support miscellaneous or ad-hoc requests and documentation updates with banks
  • Participate to various studies/ analysis and projects regarding Liquidity Management and Systems improvements
YOUR PROFILE

Education & professional background
  • Graduate degree with a specialisation in Finance or a related discipline
  • At least 3 to 5 years working experience in a trade finance or treasury capacity
  • Physical commodity trade financing background is essential
  • Good past working relationships with international trade finance banks is an advantage
Technical skills
  • Cash management working knowledge (bank selection/cash-pool/remittance issue handling)
  • Bank credit facility negotiation
  • Trade financing documentation/operational knowledge is an advantage
  • Proficient in MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Reuters
Behavioral skills
