Position Overview
For the region, develops accurate financial contracts which embody complex actuarial, accounting, and legal mechanisms ensuring maximum profits and minimal exposure for RGA; coordinates the review of documents, incorporates feedback and maintains version control; and obtains final approvals to ensure execution of documents.
Responsibilities
1. Manages the writing, executing and distributing of regional GFS reinsurance transaction documents which embody client and RGA business objectives. This includes:
o Initiate drafts
o Manage efficient version control during review and negotiation
o Partner with corporate partners and SME\xe2\x80\x99s to draft language that addresses specific business or legal needs or for compliance with applicable insurance laws and regulations
o Coordinate comments from internal RGA associates and client companies and incorporates them into the draft for further review
2. Coordinates the distribution and review of draft legal documents to ensure the process stays organized and the appropriate draft versions are reviewed by the appropriate people, for the right information at the appropriate time
3. Serves as quality control by ensuring that all documents are prepared in an accurate and professional manner and that GFS and RGA standards are being met
4. Ensures and documents that all necessary functions have reviewed and approved the final execution versions of the document prior to execution
5. Obtains signatures on legal documents and support any necessary approval documentation to signatories prior to their sign off
6. Maintain appropriate archive of all GFS legal documents
7. Assists in the preparation of post-execution filings as needed (for example: with the Missouri Department of Insurance and Form D filings on behalf of RGA for all retrocession activity with respect to GFS transactions)
8. Performs other duties as assigned
