JOB PURPOSE:

To provide aftersales service to customers by overhauling, inspecting, troubleshooting, and servicing turbochargers.

JOB DUTIES:

Employees in this classification may perform one or a combination of the following functions:

Must be able to troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair turbocharger i.e KBB, Napier, ABB etc.

Perform field service job as a team leader dismantling and assembling of turbocharger with lifting and shifting turbocharger components.

Able to perform workshop job i.e. blasting of components, cleaning etc.

Required to be knowledgeable in operating Schenck Balancing Machine CAB920

Write and complete reports for the customers\' equipment overhaul.

Able to plan and prepare for upcoming jobs including parts, information, personal hand tools, special OEM tools, lifting equipment and consumables.

Able to communicate with customers on their equipment complaints, advise maintenance requirements, resolve problems, and complete work scopes on site or in workshop.

Maintain and upkeep workshop tools and processes.

Perform Risk Assessments on site and formulate risk management plans.

Maintain site or workshop cleanliness before and after completing the job.

Troubleshoots equipment and systems malfunctions and recommends corrective action.

Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

• You will be entitled to overtime pay if overtime work is required .

• This role may be required to travel for work overseas occasionally.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Requires experience plus overall knowledge of maintenance, ability to communicate with other technical personnel and knowledge of machine repair practices and procedures.
