About the Division/Dept

The Commercial Distribution Division is responsible for the growth of commercial businesses across multiple channels including Bancassurance, Intermediaries, Direct channels and Partnerships.





It is also responsible for providing holistic, bespoke insurance solutions for its commercial customers, delivering service excellence and increasing market awareness of UOI to achieve customers' trust and recognition.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to support revenue growth and to achieve customer satisfaction. This includes servicing support to grow new customers, to retain existing customers and to drive transformation process in line with the Company's objectives.

Main Responsibilities

Responsible for Client Centric business development / growth for Direct to grow profitable revenue. Responsible for the GWP and underwriting profit budget set by the Company. Responsible to maintain high renewal retention for business underwritten from the said channel. Work with BDMs as appropriate , meeting Direct Clients to build relationships and pipelines on business opportunities / growth. Evaluate, underwrite and quote risks for commercial classes (e.g. Property, Casualty, Engineering and Marine) in line with the assigned authority and Company's underwriting guidelines and treaty arrangements. Arrange for placement of facultative reinsurance or acceptance of facultative reinsurance for risks accepted by the Business Unit in accordance with the Company's limits of acceptance and underwriting policy and ensure contract certainty is fulfilled. Working with Corporate solution in Credit Control monitoring and following on outstanding premium. Undertake any other assignments as allocated by the Division Head and the CEO to contribute to the overall corporate objectives.

Requirements

Minimally Diploma in any discipline Possess Certificate in General Insurance Proficient in Microsoft Office A team player with good problem-solving and communication skills * Ability to put customers at the core of the business
