About the Role
The role is client facing and requires the ability to identify client opportunities, build and evolve existing solutions, identify use cases to meet client specific business strategies, and implement solutions to achieve Swiss Re's Solutions growth ambitions. The role requires strong collaboration skills working across different teams within Swiss Re to execute the right solutions for our clients.
The primary responsibility of this role is to originate, implement and evolve UW L&H Solutions from an UW perspective.
Develop, build relationship and maintain regular dialogue with our clients' key decision makers (COO, UW, IT or Transformation teams etc) to identify opportunities for UW solutions.
Identify areas of opportunities (eg POC, use cases, product innovation bundle etc) to persuade internal and external clients to adopt UW Solutions
Work closely with markets, UW and data community ats to design solutions that are robust and fit for purpose/market
Ensure quality of the rules that are delivered to clients and set up best practice for future implementations together with Central Rules Team (CRT)
Continually review how to enhance our solutions offering to establish our risk knowledge leader positioning
Data anlytics knowledge to review client's rulebase performance and suggest area of improvements through data analytics
Stay abreast of Lifeguide and other SR UW initiatives in order to demonstrate our risk expertise to clients
Understand and appreciate the dependencies of UW Solutions functionalities and IT effort and be able to work closely with IT and Product teams to maximise our differentiation in market
Be close to external developments ( eg electronic health records) that impact our clients and proactively evolve our solutions to address clients' needs and painpoints
Have a deep understanding of the operational KPI and needs of our clients and be able to demonstrate the value add of UW Solutions to these KPIs
To have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and help to enhance our differentiation vs competition
Foster a strong team spirit of collaboration, innovation and execution orientation.
Work with key internal stakeholders and colleagues to develop strong strategic overview for UW Solutions.
Represent Swiss Re Solutions at conferences and external industry events.
The role involves travel and periods of on-site work in both client and regional Swiss Re offices.

About You
Direct insurance or reinsurance (Life and Health) experience of 3 - 5 years
Life & Health Underwriting background is required ideally with experience underwriting L&H cases in an insurer/ reinsurer
Background in managing projects and/or operational transformation is preferred
Very good knowledge of life insurance risk products
Solid to strong business analysis skills and the ability to prepare clear business requirement documents
Solid to strong project and change management skills
Ability to create rapport & maintain good relationships with the team, underwriters and other important stakeholders (both internal and external)
Well-developed decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
Self-directed learner, who prefers a hands-on approach to acquiring skills
Ability to create structure in ambiguous spaces and manage client expectations
Ability to facilitate workshop sessions for business and underwriting design
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal including: delivering difficult messages, giving public presentations, leading workshops, negotiating/prioritizing resources, and providing demonstrations to clients
Confidently use advanced features of Windows programme
Show true teamwork, have a flexible and team-based approach to working with the ability to be able to carry out research and work independently when required
Take personal responsibility and accountability
Experience with the deployment of new technologies
A flexible approach to travel is required
Fluent in written and spoken English; any other language will be an add on
The base salary range for this position will be shared with you during the interview process.
