Job Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Unix Engineer with strong expertise in RHEL, JBoss, and Red Hat technologies. The role involves managing and optimising RHEL environments, OpenShift clusters, and Red Hat Satellite, while working closely with development and operations teams to ensure stable and secure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain RHEL systems across dev, test, and production. Design, implement, and support OpenShift platforms. Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers. Use Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, patching, and configuration. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance. Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance. Document system configurations and processes. Collaborate with teams for application deployments. Participate in on-call rotations for critical support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of Unix/Linux administration with focus on RHEL. Strong experience with OpenShift, JBoss, and Red Hat Satellite. Advanced RHEL troubleshooting and administration. Proficiency in containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and scripting (Bash, Python). Knowledge of networking, configuration management (Ansible/Puppet), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK). Preferred: RHCSA/RHCE certifications, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, databases, HA/DR solutions.
