We are dedicated to delivering ultra-fresh produce, improving shelf life, reducing food miles, and minimizing food loss through our innovative macro farming technology and crop data management systems. We grow the freshest winter mushrooms in our fully climate controlled farm located in the heart of Singapore.



As an Urban Farm Operations Intern at Spore Gardens, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fascinating world of urban mushroom cultivation. This internship program is designed to provide exposure to crop production operations, business operations, sales, and marketing tasks, allowing you to contribute to our farm\'s success while developing valuable skills in a dynamic and environmentally conscious setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

1. Mushroom Cultivation: Assist in the cultivation process, including substrate preparation, inoculation, and harvesting of various mushroom species.

2. Environmental Monitoring: Help maintain optimal environmental conditions in our growing facilities, including temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilation.

3. Harvest and Packaging: Harvest mushrooms at the right stage of maturity and assist in sorting, cleaning, and packaging for delivery.

4. Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory and assist in managing stock levels to meet customer demand.

5. Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality standards for our mushrooms by monitoring growth parameters and conducting quality checks.

Administrative Tasks:

1. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory, and sales data.

2. Customer Relations: Assist in responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service.

3. Vendor Liaison: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely procurement of necessary materials and supplies.

4. Farm Tours: Participate in giving tours to visitors and educating them about our mushroom cultivation practices and sustainability initiatives.

5. Data Analysis: Help analyze data related to production, sales, and costs to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.

6. Marketing Support: Assist in marketing efforts by creating content for social media, updating the website, and participating in farmers\' markets or promotional events.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and bending.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary.
