Job Description


The Role Responsibilities

  • As UX Designer candidate will be responsible for the client experience of CCIB client facing portals, this means candidate will be tasked with creating flows that delight people and meet the goals of our Business Corporate and Institutional business. Candidate will have experience designing products in domains such as fintech and or large corporate banking platforms.
  • Candidate will internalise complex information about products and services to make them understandable to real humans. Since this role is fully focused on solving problems for customers and business alike, it requires empathy and business understanding in equal parts.
Strategy
  • Candidate will create the vision for a standout user experience across all products & services and drive its realisation with the larger design team, business, and tech.
  • Candidate will use wireframes to express vision and seek alignment and deliver the final flows with applied components from our design system.
  • Candidate will be a close and trusted partner to the product owner and business owner to understand their needs, goals and what makes a difference to them. As a senior candidate will use knowledge and skill to help them define and refine problem statements.
  • Candidate will frequently engage with our research, analytics, and value capture teams to understand pain points and opportunities to improve the experience.
  • Candidate will use entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be hands-on. Drive, grit, and the ability to evangelise the significance of user experience is an important skill for any senior team member to affect the change we\'re after
Business
  • Our team services the entire Corporate and Institutional Banking domain. This includes corporate banking and trading platforms, API developer platforms, and internal employee productivity tools and services. Focus will be on India localisation of the Straight 2 Bank portal.
Processes
  • Candidate will need to be familiar with design language systems, component libraries, and UI best practices. Candidate must be able to structure time and be capable of taking the initiative. Candidate\'s delivery responsibilities span prototyping, testing, working with engineers on the quality assurance processes. Understand and operate in Scrum and Agile methodologies

Risk Management
  • Our team is responsible for delivering quality tool and service design, that is meant to enable colleagues and customers. In doing so, we must be careful with data management and play our part in ensuring we protect it and that our designs take this into consideration. Risk management is interwoven in our design activities and will need to ensure that risk is always a consideration throughout the design process all the way to delivery.
Governance
  • Our team contributes the Design Community of Practice, we inform design governance decisions in the Bank. As part of our responsibility, we must oversee areas such as career progression, mentorship, tooling, support, and more. It will be candidate\'s responsibility to support and participate in these activities. Primarily in advocating for design and engineering best practices.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • IC Agile or SCRUM certification would be desirable.
  • Experience driving projects from initiation to delivery, defining the business value gained with the program and utilising this with stakeholders for buy-in.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in producing rich interactive experience in the corporate and financial markets space.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Communications, Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Interaction Design, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Enthusiasm for tackling the large cultural shift necessary to establish a design practice.

  • Strategic one moment and a detail-obsessed designer the next.
  • Understand psychology and behavioural science.
  • Also understand global diversity and the ability to advise on solutions that suit all.
  • Have the ability and desire to keep challenging oneself and others with entrepreneurial attitude and passion for observing human behaviour, identifying team biases, and surfacing these with grit.
  • Guide business partners and evangelise a mindset for good experience and user-centricity.
  • Work smart, are flexible and skilled in establishing practical processes.
  • Love to take ownership, see projects through to launch and keep an eye on them afterwards, always on the lookout for improvement.
Role Specific Technical Competencies
  • Strong influencing and communication skills are required
  • Strong understanding of visual elements (Layout, Type, Fonts).
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and front-end engineering terminology to facilitate communication with engineering teams.
  • Design prototypes to test and conduct testing and validation with them.
  • UX Design - wireframes, screen flow diagrams.
  • UI Design - leverage our existing UI components when creating new design system components.
  • Experience with design standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Axure, Adobe, and others. Must be tool agnostic.
