Introduction:

We are looking for a User Experience Researcher with strong design experience to join Trip.com's UX Research team. This role will be central to shaping how we design for a global audience of travelers, driving confidence in booking experiences across cultures and markets.



In this Role, you'll get to:

Lead generative and evaluative research: Design and run studies (interviews, usability tests, concept/prototype evaluations, surveys) to inform product direction. Concept testing & validation: Evaluate early-stage ideas and prototypes to identify user value, risks, and opportunities. Moderate and facilitate workshops (co-creation, problem framing, ideation, alignment sessions) to help teams make faster, clearer decisions. Foundational research: Explore global traveler behaviors, mental models, and pain points to inform long-term product strategy. Cross-functional influence: Present insights and design implications clearly to PMs, designers, and stakeholders across multiple regions. Scale research practice: Develop methods, playbooks, and toolkits that enable other teams to run lightweight concept tests and validations.


What you'll Need to Succeed:

5+ years of experience in UX Research, or related field. Strong background in design methods (wireframing, prototyping, storyboarding, journey mapping). Experience with facilitating workshops or design sprints in cross-functional teams. Proficiency in qualitative research (interviews, diary studies, usability tests) and exposure to quantitative methods. Ability to work across global markets, understanding cultural and localization nuances. Excellent communication and storytelling skills for presenting insights. Experience in travel, e-commerce, or platform products. Familiarity with multi-market research or localization challenges. Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Miro, Dovetail, Maze/Lyssna, or equivalent. Fluency in more than one language (English required; Mandarin, Japanese, or other market languages a plus).
