Validation Test - Technology and Program ManagerDescription -This role will be based in Personal Systems Singapore Development Center, reporting into the Senior R&D Manager. As part of the HP Personal System Global R&D team, this center will focus on Personal Systems solutions and products development, NPI and Sustaining.Job SummaryAs Validation Test - Technology and Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and coordination of validation testing activities across multiple projects. You will drive the qualification tests of full system Hardware & Software required for the delivery of new commercial laptop systems. You will work closely within internal functional groups and external ODM partners to drive full system Hardware & Software Compatibility testing, project resource planning, test issues troubleshooting and coordinating appropriate trainings to meet or better the existing quality level of HP. The role ensures adherence to testing guidelines and standards, and analyzes test data to provide actionable insights. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to improve product quality, mitigate risks, and drive innovation.ResponsibilitiesLeads and provides expertise to program teams and outsourced test partners responsible for all stages of systems, equipment, and device testing, including solution and test plan design, validation, tooling, test execution and results evaluation.Develop and implement validation testing strategies and methodologies for Personal Systems solutions and products.Define and maintain the validation master plan (VMP) for each project, outlining the validation approach, scope, and deliverables. Lead a team of validation engineers and specialists in the execution of validation testing activities, including test plan development, test execution, and documentation of test results.Collaborate with software development teams to ensure that validation requirements are incorporated into the software development lifecycle.Establish and maintain validation procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in validation activities.Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks to computer system validation.Track and report on the progress of validation activities, including milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.Stay informed about emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends related to computer system validation testing.Reviews and evaluates product designs and project activities for compliance with technology and testing guidelines and standards.Analyzes and interprets test and compliance data and prepares technical reports for use by other engineering, and management personnel.Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing, and coordinating corrective action measures.Provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.Provides domain-specific expertise and overall test engineering leadership and perspective to cross- organization projects, programs, and activities.Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the test engineering organization.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of test engineering design and development innovation and excellence.Education & Experience RecommendedBachelor\'s, Master\'s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.Experience in functional testing or related fields.Level of work experience will consumerate with job level assignedExcellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical and regulatory challenges.Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and their implications for validation testing is a plus.Cross-Org SkillsEffective CommunicationResults OrientationLearning AgilityDigital FluencyCustomer CentricityImpact & ScopeImpacts immediate team and acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.ComplexityResponds to routine issues within established guidelines.DisclaimerThis job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
