We are looking for individuals with creativity, intellect, passion, grit, curiosity, openness, and resilience.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Finance Manager who will play an important role working with Xora\xe2\x80\x99s team and portfolio companies. The successful candidate will have a high bar of excellence and be a \xe2\x80\x98thinker-doer\xe2\x80\x99, i.e., a strategically minded, yet a hands-on and strong communicator. He/she will take pride in managing day-to-day finance and accounting requirements and enhancing progressive Finance policies and streamlined processes that empower our entire team to achieve optimal performance and focus on delivering value to our stakeholders. The Finance Manager will proactively support the Head of Finance and the rest of Xora team, and work with external business partners to strengthen our finance and operations infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess FP&A experience, strong understanding and application of the FRS relevant to the business, business partnering skills and a proven track record of driving cross-functional accountability and efficiency. He/she will need to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business, understand business priorities and translate them into impactful solutions. As our in-house subject matter expert, you would also be expected to advise our portfolio company on finance-related topics.This position requires you to work from the Company\xe2\x80\x99s headquarters in Singapore.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial reporting, FP&A and Finance operations:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day finance and accounts operation of the investment holding and fund management companies including:
  • Oversee the preparation and/or prepare the Finance, Accounting and Tax deliverables
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial records and payment requirements
  • Review and validate financial reports, statements, Hyperion prepared by service providers or juniors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and supervise junior resource to ensure timely and accurate accounts, payment and reporting
  • Monitor liquidity requirements including treasury management and foreign exchange analysis and work closely with banks to manage bank accounts, deposits and facilities
  • Prepare quarter and annual financial reports for internal updates to senior management and reporting to shareholder(s)
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Manage regulatory reporting and work with auditors, corporate secretary and tax agents/ advisors to ensure compliance with local filing requirements
  • Assist in preparation of budget
  • Support the Head of Finance to operate the finance function with high quality and build up robust processes and policies, including streamlining or automating workflows and enhancing efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance Team and corporate secretary on various filing obligations
  • Support the investment team on funding, closing and post-closing matters
  • Track relevant changes in account standards such as new FRS requirements
  • Assist in other ad hoc projects assigned from time to time
Portfolio companies:
  • Support portfolio monitoring and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual investment reports
  • Monitor and analyse portfolios\xe2\x80\x99 financial metrics to identify potential impact to the investments and forecasts
  • Stay abreast of material developments within the portfolio companies, especially for valuation purposes
  • Support set up and operations of the accounting and tax functions of new portfolio companies
  • Act as a partner and advisor to portfolio companies to help establish Finance systems, policies and processes
RequirementsPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • A degree in accountancy from an accredited university
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in Big 4 audit firms (experience in PE/VC), fund administration or in house PE/VC
  • Expertise in accounting with a thorough understanding and application of the FRS, especially in financial instruments, consolidation and investment entities
  • Strong acumen in financial management, financial processes, and business analytics
  • Technology-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Highly analytical with a strong problem-solving approach, resourceful and organised to support and enable efficient and effective decision-making amongst stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, partnering, and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a wide range of internal and external partners, including our portfolio companies
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Well organised and able to multi-task with a positive attitude towards learning new skills
  • Strong attention to deadlines with the capability to complete assigned tasks accurately and independently
