Vessel Manager
Job Description
:
1. Responsible and accountable for safe and efficient operation.
2. Compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
3. Management of vessels Certification, documentation and surveys.
4. Preparing and managing vessels budgets.
5. Inspection of vessels which may require sailing on board.
6. Managing docking and repairs.
7. Support crew with technical issues.
8. Communicating with the owners and other 3rd parties.
9. Purchase of spares and stores.
10. Any other task assigned by the Company.
Job Requirements:
1. At least 3 years of experience as a Vessel Manager/ Technical Superintendent.
2. Sailed as a Chief Engineer on a foreign going cargo ship.
3. Experience of working on or managing vessels with electronic engines.
4. Experience of working on or managing geared bulk carriers.
5. Good practical knowledge of vessel operation.
6. Adequate ability and attitude to work in a multi cultured organization.
7. Basic computer application skills.
8. Adequate understanding of various regulatory requirement of shipping industry.
9. Good communication skills.
