Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain the Vessel Traffic Information System (VTIS) hardware and software.
Perform regular system checks, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on all VTIS equipment.
Troubleshoot and rectify technical faults to minimize system downtime.
Provide technical support to Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) operators during operations.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving communication or data transmission issues, managing servers, databases, system interfaces used for vessel tracking and reporting.
Ensure all systems comply with relevant national and international maritime regulations.
Ensure system reliability for maritime safety and emergency response operations.
Requirements
Experience in supporting Electrical/Electronic Engineering-related systems
Knowledge and experience in marine electronics, command, control systems, communication systems, and the deployment, servicing, and troubleshooting of networked Electronics, Communications, and Power systems will have an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
