Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Specialist with profound expertise in cruise ship vibration and noise. You will be responsible for leading the design, evaluation, and control of vibration and noise in cruise ship projects, ensuring compliance with stringent specifications and successful delivery. The ideal candidate will possess over 15 years of direct experience in the cruise industry and be proficient in the entire process from computational analysis to field measurement and corrective actions. Responsibilities:

Missions / Service Dimensions:

Be responsible for setting design targets, technical planning, and overall assessment of the full-ship vibration and noise performance for cruise ships. Provide technical solutions and design inputs for vibration and noise control across various disciplines (e.g., machinery, hull structure, cabin design, propulsion systems). Ensure designs meet Owner requirements and relevant international rules, regulations, and standards.

Key Activities:

Lead the prediction calculation, simulation analysis, and design optimization for cruise ship vibration and noise. Review and evaluate technical proposals, equipment, and materials related to vibration and noise from suppliers and subcontractors. Participate in resolving vibration and noise-related technical issues during the construction and commissioning phases.

Main Duties:

Perform numerical calculation and evaluation of vibration and noise using specialized tools. Develop and implement targeted vibration and noise reduction measures. Plan and guide field measurements for vibration and noise, analyze data, and propose corrective solutions. Prepare and submit relevant technical documents, reports, and approval drawings.

Communication & Coordination:

Collaborate closely with various internal design disciplines, naval architects, procurement teams, and project management. Conduct effective technical communication and coordination with Shipowners, Classification Societies, suppliers, and third-party

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Professional Experience:

Minimum 15 years of working experience in the cruise ship industry. Must have participated in the vibration and noise design of multiple complete cruise ship projects from start to finish, with a proven track record of successful delivery.

Professional Skills:

Proficient in cruise ship vibration and noise calculation, simulation, and performance assessment. Expertise in vibration and noise control methods and measures across multiple disciplines. Familiar with field measurement, data analysis, reporting, and problem rectification processes for vibration and noise. Knowledgeable of relevant international rules, standards, and industry best practices

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Acoustics, Vibration Engineering, or a related field
