We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Accounting Policies, Controls and Tax.

Principal Responsibilities

• Supporting Change team in the implementation of new accounting standard and reporting requirements in planning, design and testing of supporting systems
• Evaluate and assess accounting/tax impact on accounting/tax issues
• Conduct end to end control reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management
• Assist in the monthly tax provisions calculation
• Maintaining a strong control environment and coordinating reviews by internal stakeholders and external auditors
• Supporting Finance Change on ad hoc projects and their impact on financial reporting deliverables

Requirements

• Professional Finance qualification
• Strong understanding on accounting standards
• Understanding of MAS Regulations and tax regulations
• Good understanding of SOX control is added advantage
• Understanding of the relevant internal risk management framework, including operational risk policies, SOX framework and knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector
• Ability to provide structure and solutions to problematic areas, to challenge information presented, providing explanations to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties
• Ability to multitask and manage various stakeholders as well as competing deadlines
