The Vice President Advertising Sales, Asia is responsible for maintaining and growing CNN\xe2\x80\x99s linear and digital advertising sales revenue throughout Asia.

The role will have ownership of the advertising sales strategy and will be responsible for driving the development and execution of CNN\xe2\x80\x99s advertising sales portfolio across Asia, working in partnership with key stakeholders throughout the business.

In addition, the VP Advertising Sales will be actively involved in and responsible for spearheading a number of key commercial and operational projects, identifying growth opportunities across all regions as well as maximising efficiencies and productivity through the insights and brand solutions teams.

The Vice President Advertising Sales Asia will also build and execute strategic business relationships both internally and externally in order to maximise the international ad sales business objectives.

The Vice President Advertising Sales will be responsible for:

Direct management of a large team of sales professionals with sub-regional responsibilities (e.g. S. Asia, SEA, S. Korea, ANZ, Japan) to achieve revenue targets across all platforms, including CNNI, CNNI Digital, CNN (US), CNN.com

Maintaining existing & fostering new C-level client relationships with senior executives across industries with senior stakeholder engagement and management (internal and external)

Developing and implementing both long term strategic and short-term tactical plans to retain & grow sales revenue

Identifying, leading & supporting conversations with key partnership prospects across the region

Acting as a brand ambassador for CNN and the CNN product portfolio

Coaching and supporting your direct management team with a \xe2\x80\x9ccan do attitude\xe2\x80\x9d, providing inspirational leadership through leading by example

Maintaining and growing a large revenue base

Leading an organisation of 20-25 high calibre sales professionals

About You

Significant international business experience in Asia. An accomplished commercial leader who understands the dynamics of the Asia landscape and who has the drive and tenacity to grow the business

A strategic thinker who can problem solve and is not afraid to challenge the status quo or make decisions, demonstrating confidence in engaging with all levels of management, clients and agencies

Proven experience in generating creative business solutions outside traditional media revenue with the ability to work collaboratively across complex functional structures

Proven exposure working in a sales organisation with a track record of exceeding revenue goals

Deep experience working with senior decision makers

A seasoned people manager with proven experience motivating, developing and coaching employees across multiple locations and regions

Able to creatively drive revenue using digital and multi-platform sales techniques

Extensive relationships and contacts across the region

Excellent commercial instincts and broad commercial experience (deal making, scoping out opportunities, client management)

Experience working with legal to define, lead and drive complex deals/contracts

Able to be an excellent brand and team ambassador both internally and externally

Asian languages a plus

Innovation \xe2\x80\x93 able to constantly improve team\xe2\x80\x99s work and personal output

Highly motivated, proactive, dedicated and creative

Enthusiastic worker that thrives working in a cutting edge and fast-pace environment

Proven analytical skills, financial acumen and ability to manage to targets and budgets

Significant travel required
