We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President - Asset, Liability & Capital Management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the management of interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB)
  • Engaging and liaising with Finance Operations to deliver accurate and timely IRRBB reporting for MAS and Prudential Regulation Authority ( PRA) purposes
  • Taking ownership of the interest rate risk (IRR) buy-in process, including working closely with the Global Businesses, Markets Treasury, Middle Markets and Product Control to ensure completeness of IRR buy-in
  • Monitoring the performance of behaviouralisation assumptions used in the IRR buy-in model
  • Preparing relevant Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) papers
  • Ensuring controls around data are robust and evolve over time
  • Proactively identifying any IRR issues, and wherever possible, propose remediation plan
  • Performing ad hoc analysis in relation to effectively managing interest rate risk for HSBC Singapore
  • Provide subject matter expert input, when required, into IRRBB reporting
  • Defining and documenting local procedures and guidance for IRRBB
Requirements
  • Interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) or regulatory reporting background is preferred. Experience in other treasury risk types (e.g. liquidity risk) would also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills, including hands on experience in managing large volumes of data with a proven ability to interpret and comment on data issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls
  • Experience delivering to internal stakeholders such as internal auditors; business functions; etc.
  • Proven experience of supporting project delivery, utilizing relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery
  • Commercially minded and ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates excellent teamwork
