Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the COO APAC , the VP , Asset Management is an active member of the Regional team, finding cross regional value adding opportun ities, coordination and transfer of best practices to create synergies , addressing issues, facilitating processes and managing specific objectives in support of the Asset Managers who are providing oversight to Portfolio compan ies .
This role represents an opportunity to play a key role in a growing Regional AM team with a focus on analysis, problem solving and project management, providing immersive experience within key areas of management, including and not limited to defining and executing operational and commercial strateg ies , financial management, people management and general management best practices.
Critical to the success of this role is the ability to see the regional holistically while managing multiple, concurrent projects, and working collaboratively across the Asset Management team.
Support the active oversight to portfolio companies of the Brookfield Renewable Group across the APAC region. Assist in the maximization of value through w ork ing with Asset Managers by:
Consolidation of valuation and analysis across portfolio companies in the region to produce insightful information to support initiative generation and decision making.
Identify F acilita ting best practices across the region
Coordinating Annual business planning processes across the APAC region
Reviewing performance improvement initiatives and programs as appropriate
Monthly and quarterly internal update reports to Renewable Global and APAC management regarding each business, comparing actual results against annual and long-term business plans
C ollect information, analyze and prepare materials in support of the development and execution of exit strategies for each portfolio company either in the capital markets or through merger or sale transactions with strategic industry companies to realize optimum returns.
Work with the deal team to be a key contributor to the platform due diligence for specific investment opportunities :
Provide input to the investment team regarding the due diligence workplan
Participate in operational reviews including site visits; validate operating cost and capital expenditure assumptions; and, identify value creation opportunities , leveraging benchmarks across existing portfolio companies .
Participate in review of human resources and organizational development issues
Develop business plans with the investment team, describing how value will be created from controllable factors Prepare materials in support of the Investment Committee Presentation
Contribute to the development of detailed onboarding work plans with input from the investment and corporate teams
3. Onboard ing and Intervention :
Manage projects to established standards and a cadence for communications and reporting
Support the implementation of compliance policies and programs using Brookfield standard model
Support the finalization of human resource issues including organizational design and compensation matters
Support the business through secondments into Portfolio companies to deliver business outcomes
Qualifications/
Experience/Skills

8+ years of experience in Management Consulting, Restructuring, or other relevant areas
Experience in conducting due diligence
Keen interest in investing and restructuring
High level of proficiency in Excel , PowerPoint, Word, etc
Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability
Ability to proactively research investment opportunities;
Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced and team-oriented environment;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Meticulous attention to detail is essential.
Possesses managerial courage to have difficult conversations and take difficult decisions as and when needed
Exhibits business maturity in interactions
Comfortable in working environments that range from the plant floor to the corporate office
Willingness and ability to travel to regional offices and portfolio companies , as required
