What will you be doing?


Do you have energy and chemical sector knowledge and the ability to provide advisory and delivery services? Do you have experience working for a consultancy or background that has worked within the energy and chemicals sector?


Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking for a VP to join our growing team in Asia and the Middle East. You will be responsible for bringing together the knowledge and experience that sits across the regional Argus business to systematically build out our resources (data, models, etc.) to expand our range of Consulting services further. This senior role will also support Argus in building its brand and commercial presence in the market, and take a leading role in our project teams, delivering various bespoke consulting projects to clients.

• 
  Accountable for the performance of the Argus Consulting business in Asia. Translate the global Consulting strategy into practical plans for the Asia/Middle East Consulting team that will result in the achievement of defined financial and commercial objectives.
• Develop relationships with existing and target clients in the region, engaging them in content-led business development that showcases Argus\xe2\x80\x99 capabilities and builds trust.
• Provide oversight to, and take an active role, as necessary, in generating and managing workflow for Consulting opportunities within the region. Maintain oversight of the proposal process, working closely with Commercial and other stakeholders to deliver winning proposals.
• Accountable for ensuring that all projects undertaken by the Consulting team or for clients within the region, meet and exceed expected quality standards and financial metrics.
• Manage the Consulting team, responsible for all aspects of the growth and development of individuals working within it.
• Work closely with Marketing and other teams to ensure Argus increases its brand presence in the region.
• Represent the broader Argus product set, including both Consulting and non-Consulting products, across all industry sectors covered by Argus.
• Represent Argus at industry conferences and functions, including presentations to senior energy industry executives up to the CEO/ministerial level.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for in you

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering background is preferred. Other relevant disciplines are welcome too. MBA\xe2\x80\x99s and/or PhD\xe2\x80\x99s are welcome (but not required).

• 15+ years of experience in energy/chemicals consulting required.
• Strong knowledge of industry trends relevant to Oil & Gas and Petrochemical companies within the region. Some understanding of other sectors covered by Argus (e.g. Fertilizer, Metals) beneficial.
• Experience building and leading a team, recruiting, and developing talent, and willing to contribute to the growth of Argus Consulting business.
• Expert project management skills; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Intellectually curious and able to demonstrate structured problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Capable of operating at the highest levels within target clients and other relevant organisations.
• Excellent political and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrable track record of selling professional services.
• Able to work independently whilst also engaging and collaborating in line with the Argus values: Excellence, Integrity, Partnership, and Inclusivity.

Travel

• Cover client meetings, conferences, and events (5-15% of overseas travel is expected).

Hours
Monday through Friday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Earlier or later hours, or weekend hours, may be expected on occasion.
