The position will contribute to the revenue target and financial success of MUFG Bank, Ltd in APACProvide transaction management support and commercial risk management in relation to tailored bilateral, club, syndicated and underwritten loansStructuring, negotiating, review and execution of legal documentation including facility agreements, security documents, fee letters, legal opinions, and other ancillary finance documentsStructuring and drafting of term sheets and mandate/engagement documentationNegotiation and \xe2\x80\x98ownership\xe2\x80\x99 of loan documentation process including review and driving negotiation from a \xe2\x80\x98commercial perspective\xe2\x80\x99 and working with external counselCo-ordination and leadership of deal team, driving timely execution of transactionsAppointment and engagement of external counsel \xe2\x80\x93 including negotiation of scope of work.Project management discipline of external law firms and mitigation of law firm feesLoan execution best practice on standardized and regionalized basis, through exposure to volume of transactionsWork seamlessly with regional origination and distribution teams to deliver documentation execution and positive outcomes for the Bank and the clientDirect client engagement/interaction including leading transaction correspondence with external partiesCoordination and management of internal stakeholders/departments such as Agency, Loan Admin etc. and ensuring their requirements are satisfied in advance of fundingAdvise on and manage respective products transactions originated in APAC, including preparing, reviewing, negotiating and approving the relevant legal documentationMonitor, identify and advise on commercial/legal risks in support of the respective productsMonitor and advise on regulatory changes in APAC and work with the Legal and Compliance on the effect of such changes in APACMaintain databases and records of agreements and related documentationParticipate in external and/or internal committee(s)/working group(s) relating to regulatory changes and loansEnsure reasonable measures are taken into account on all cross-entity booking activities and remain aware of and comply with all local regulatory and company requirementsComply with MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s internal risk and compliance requirements, controls, procedures, and trade relating policies.Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements emanating from any of the regulatory authorities to which MUFG is subject toComply with the requirements of MUFG\xe2\x80\x99s Volcker Compliance Program, including the relevant Volcker Desk Procedures and related permissionsManage and develop relationships with clients (where applicable) with a view to expand the department/unit/international business enhancing the franchise of MUFGRequirementsMinimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in LawAt least 5 years\' experience in Global Financial Institutions / International Law FirmsAt least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience on loan transactionsPreferred experience includes (a) deal structuring and experience in negotiating facility documentation (b) obtaining and reviewing collateral and enforceability of opinions in Asia-pacAPAC jurisdictions and (c) experience on regulatory matters in Singapore and/or other jurisdictions in AsiaFamiliarity with Asia, EU and US regulatory change on financial marketsResults driven, with a strong sense of accountabilityThe ability to operate with urgency and prioritize work accordinglyStrong problem solving and decision making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgmentThe ability to manage large workloads and tight deadlinesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyA calm approach, with the ability to perform well in a pressurized environmentWe regret to inform that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.MUFG Bank Ltd & MUFG Securities Asia Limited (collectively referred to as \xe2\x80\x9cMUFG\xe2\x80\x9d) is an equal opportunity employer.
