Strategic

• Take leadership of the relevant initiatives in relation to investment opportunities in digital fintech and execute the investments
• Proactively manage the investment portfolio to increase the value of investees
• Maximize the synergy between investees and PBs (Partner Banks, MUFG's investee banks across Southeast Asia)

Customer

• Maintain good relationship with PBs to support each PB, address issues, negotiate and resolve at regional level.
• Build strong relationship with potential investees/partners

People

• Cooperate with GCB colleagues and deepen relationship with colleagues at PBs and potential/existing investees/partners
• Contribute to the team by supporting and guiding the team in solving complex issues.

Other/ Control

• Ensure compliance with the relevant regulations and limits
• Maintain good professional knowledge based on industry trends, products, the relevant laws and regulations.
• To liaise and collaborate with stakeholders in Tokyo Head Office and prepare detailed investment application & reports to be presented in Japanese during Meetings and Conferences

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or Corporate Development
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Multinational Companies Globally.
• Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, a degree from a Japanese university or equivalent required is required due to the operational need to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management at Tokyo Head Office for investment matters and communication with Japanese regulators where primary business communication is in Japanese.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, develop and present strategic recommendations, and provide guidance and leadership to team members.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects within defined timelines and resources is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentation preparation.
• Ability to travel as required for regional and international business engagements.
