Job Description


Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Risk & Prevention, GCFS plays a significant role in supporting GCFS strategic imperatives by spearheading initiatives to cultivate greater accountability and ownership of risk management activities by first line business units, centralising oversight of risks and drive control enhancements progressively.The key target outcomes are to drive towards high standards across GCFS Divisions in areas of:- Strong risk governance through uplift of risk culture and conduct standards and robust management risk oversight- Strengthen risk detection through strong use of data analytics surveillance- Sharpen risk management effectiveness and efficiency to achieve impactful risk management outcomeThe incumbent is responsible to support Group Head, Risk and Prevention by working closely with GCFS division jurisdictions (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong/Macau, and Indonesia) to achieve the target outcome. In doing so, the incumbent will support the embedment of R&P risk management target operating model, initiatives and methodology across GCFS offices, adapting and incorporating best practices, with strong risk governance and oversight on local implementation and operating rhythm.The job holder is responsible to: -- Implement Group CFS risk management initiatives and methodology to mitigate financial crime and operational/digital risks to achieve standardisation across the region.- Maintain effective risk management frameworks that ensure compliance with Group and local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.- Monitor key risk indicators, incidents, and events, prepare report on significant risk events including recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.- Implement risk management training and awareness programs for employees, to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities in managing risk, promoting accountability and ownership culture.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Group Legal and Compliance (GLC), Group Operational Risk Management (GORM) and Group Audit (GA) to ensure that risk management practices are aligned and integrated across OCBC Group.Key Stakeholders Management (Internal)\xc2\xa7 Group Legal and Compliance\xc2\xa7 Group Operational Risk Management\xc2\xa7 Group Audit\xc2\xa7 GCFS (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong/Macau, Indonesia)Reports To: Group Head, Risk and Prevention, Global Consumer Financial ServicesQualificationsEducational and Work Experiences:Degree holders aspiring to expand experience in managing regional/group offices.Technical skills:- Poses depth and breadth of experience in the banking industry with 5 years minimum is essential to equip the jobholder for engagement with regional offices and ability to drive strategic issues.Personal Traits:

  • Ability to build strong relationships with effective communicating skills and positive growth mindset
  • Proactive and delivery focused to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality and standards.
