Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned insurance professional to support and strengthen liability underwriting across our Business Units in Asia (BUs). Reporting to the Head of Underwriting, Reinsurance & Claims, this role will focus on delivering technical excellence in liability lines, driving business development, and promoting best practices in underwriting. This role will also support the implementation of multinational programs in the region, and is expected to proactively expand underwriting expertise across other lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert technical support to BUs with a primary focus on liability underwriting Support 'four-eyes' regional referral and treaty special acceptance referrals for liability risks Develop and maintain liability insurance products and contribute to business development initiatives Promote knowledge sharing and best practices in liability underwriting through the organisation of conferences, seminars, and training Identify training needs across BUs and implement targeted programs to strengthen liability underwriting capabilities across the region Support the implementation of multinational programs in the region Prepare and present insights and updates to senior management and other internal and external stakeholders on liability-related topics Participate in regional underwriting reviews with a focus on liability portfolio performance and risk assessment, and improvement opportunities Proactively expand underwriting expertise across other lines of business

Requirements

Degree holder, preferably in insurance, business management, or a related field Professional insurance qualifications will be an added advantage Minimum ten years of experience in the insurance industry, and preferably with at least three years in a middle management role Demonstrated expertise in liability underwriting, with experience in reinsurance and insurance product marketing Experience across multiple lines of business is preferred; a strong willingness to expand underwriting knowledge in other lines of business is essential. Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of underwriting performance management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams Good understanding of Asian insurance markets and cultural dynamics

Pay: $8,900.00 - $16,700.00 per month
