About the Department
Group Compliance is a strategic partner and trusted business enabler to the Board and Senior Management to ensure that the Bank continuously fulfils its regulatory obligations in today\'s tight and dynamic regulatory landscape.
We work closely with our internal stakeholders to identify and assess underlying regulatory risks; develop practical solutions that integrate regulations into operational requirements; and actively shape and promote stronger compliance culture and literacy in the Bank.
The competitive business environment and constant product innovation coupled with the ever evolving regulatory landscape propel the compliance function to go beyond regulatory advisory to focus on active risk identification and management, instilling a robust regulatory compliance control framework and active participation in the provision of sound and sustainable solutions to meet the Bank\'s emerging needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide sound, coherent and consistent advice, interpretation and recommendation on compliance laws, rules and standards, internal policies and procedures, products and initiatives to Corporate Functions.
  • Identify, evaluate and assess regulatory compliance risks across functions. Conduct compliance reviews
  • Assist in the development of compliance plans and review programmes which test compliance with applicable compliance laws, rules and standards, and in ensuring coherent and consistent implementation of compliance policy requirements within the Group.
  • Assess training needs, develop and review compliance training materials and conduct training for staff
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters
  • Address MAS\' queries in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and disseminate regulatory updates
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on Data Analytics projects
Job Requirements
  • Good degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Law or equivalent
  • 6-10 years in compliance, audit, risk management or regulatory work in the financial services industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of compliance laws, rules and standards applicable to banking business and the ability to apply.
  • Good knowledge of banking business operations and products and services
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, meticulous, and ability to work independently
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Team player and demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities
  • Good judgment, problem solving skills and be results/task oriented to ensure sound implementation of controls, compliance processes and procedures
  • High personal standard of integrity, ethics and commitment to fulfilling the objectives of the position
  • Experience in Data Analytics and being passionate about it will be an added advantage
