This form is used only by individuals with disabilities who require assistance or adjustments in applying and interviewing for a job. This form is not for inquiring about a position or the status of an application. You will be expected to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the sophisticated business and its moving parts. You will be responsible for empowering the business to win locally by driving coherent market strategies, being the custodian of local traveler empathy and insight, and drive market activations in partnerships with Brands and other Expedia Group Teams. You will work closely with EG leaders across Marketing, Product and Supply to drive profitable growth, make appropriate trade-offs and influence resourcing allocation. The Vice President is expected to understand, learn and be able speak to a broad set of business metrics, often representing the full Expedia Group Retail story across our portfolio of Brands. Success will come from someone who can see internal and external connections that are not obvious to those without a keen understanding of our business model, technology that enables it and the overall travel industry. This role requires the ability to lead and influence teams across functions and geographies – most of which do not report directly into this executive. Our local Market leaders are encouraged to adopt a mindset of abundance, embrace working beyond organizational boundaries, and always advocate the way forward that is right for our business and travelers. What you’ll do:

  • Partner with marketing and analytics teams to drive execution at a finer grain that solves for more than the average customer. Identify the lens that unlocks the greatest opportunity for business growth and customer value, including origin & destination, traveler segment, seasonality, travel frequency, business v leisure
  • Build and maintain feedback loops to ensure continuous learning for optimizing local go to market activities that can be scaled globally
  • Demonstrate capability and understanding of working with technology and data teams to drive simplification and automation
  • Attend key internal and external forums representing the APAC Retail business; comfortable with senior executive engagement, and speaking in front of large internal and external audiences as needed
Who you are:
  • Passionate leader with a broad set of experiences, including change management, people development, and a clear understanding of own strengths
  • Successful situational leadership skills and the ability to empower and generate passion with individuals across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to translate data, business insights, and performance goals into strategic risks and opportunities
  • Experience across multiple Lines of Business and understanding of the underlying complexities of businesses like Air and Packages
  • A standout colleague that thrives in demanding, intellectually charged environments, has strong convictions and can win credibility and contribute across the breadth of a business and its senior management team
  • Clear point of view on driving initiatives forward through influence rather than control across an organization
