About the Department

The Finance and Corporate Services function manages the financial and administrative needs of the Group to help achieve its business goals.

Corporate Real Estate Services

We manage and administer matters relating to real estate on behalf of the Group. These include lease management, facilities management, as well as security and general service matters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reporting to Head of Sustainability, Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES)
  • Engaging internal stakeholders and/or vendors to decarbonize UOB Scope 3 non-financed related emissions
  • Support the CRES Sustainability Leads on development and implementation of emerging legislation or implement GCRES\'s best practice such as Green Leases, sustainable procurement and others
  • Consolidate and analyze data from different vendors and/or stakeholders for reporting back to Group CRES Sustainability Lead for disclosures or management action.
  • Monitor, benchmark and establish action plans in relevant to Scope 3 engagement in relevant to GHG Protocol Scope 3 technical guidelines and other emerging/leading best practices
  • Partner with other BUs/media to leverage opportunity to showcase our effort in decarbonizing our direct (Scope 2) and indirect (Scope 1 & 3) environment impact.
  • Regional knowledge sharing with regional sustainability leads to improve action plans, solutions and sustainability disclosure
  • Procurement of energy attribute certificates (particularly RECs), carbon credits and VPPA bundled with RECs (VPPA-RECs)
  • Any other roles or responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or Engineering disciplines
  • Candidates with scope 3 accounting, engagement and decarbonization experience, as well as procurement of RECs, carbon credits and VPPA-RECs within a real estate setting is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5-8 years of management experience in sustainability including strategic program development and implementation across various countries/localities
  • Strong data analysis skill and experience, including a mastery of the entire suite of Microsoft Office programs
  • Have the expertise in the areas of Scope 3 engagement, environmental management system, waste management, sustainable supply chain, external partnerships, employee engagement, as well as sustainability reporting and CDP reporting.
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Independent worker and able to work in a complex and ambiguous environment.
